Our Story

Why We Started Jormechanical Air

Our founder, Judale Wynkoop, spent ten years working for other HVAC companies. The days were long, and Florida's summer heat made them longer. Crews ran from one call to the next, so there was rarely time to slow down. In his words, he felt like he was "just somebody in the truck."

That feeling is why he went out on his own. In February 2022, his Florida contractor license came through, and he started this company with one truck. The plan was simple: do each job the way he always wanted to do it. That meant taking the time to get every install right, and treating every home with care.

Our mission is still the same: install every system right, and respect every home that lets us in.

We clean up before and after, make sure that the area is exactly how we met it or even better.

Judale Wynkoop, owner, Jormechanical Air

Four years on, that is still how we judge a good day's work.

Who Comes to Your Home

One Company Answers for Your Job, Start to Finish

You'll never have to explain your job twice. The home visit, the estimate and the finished install all run through one company, so nothing you were promised gets lost along the way. Our HVAC technicians work to the same standards on every job. And if a warranty question ever comes up, you call the same number and talk to someone who already knows your system.

The Standards We Hold on Every Job

What You Can Expect When We Work in Your Home

Each promise below grew out of that founding mission. Together, they tell you exactly what to expect, so nothing about your job comes as a surprise.

  • Every System Built to Pass Inspection

We install every new system to the code your county or city enforces. To us, a job is not finished until it passes inspection. The inspection report is simply the proof.

  • Tarps Down Before Anything Comes Inside

We cover your floors before any equipment crosses the door. Then we clean the work area before and after the job, so it looks the way we found it, or better.

  • One Price for the Whole Job, Not Just the Unit

Some ads show only the price of the air conditioner and add labor later. Our estimate prices the complete install, including labor and materials, so you see the full cost first.

  • Every Estimate Explained Line by Line

We send every estimate by email or text, so you can read each line before you agree to anything. Standard high-efficiency systems run $10,000 to $25,000. If budget comes first, our economy line runs $6,000 to $8,000.

  • Warranty Terms You Can Actually Read

Every install comes with one year of labor coverage from us. Repairs carry 90 days on the work we did. We walk you through both terms before we leave your home.

  • Plain Answers, Never Talked Over

We explain what we find in plain words, not trade talk. That's why customers say we didn't talk over their heads. You'll understand the problem before we fix anything.

Our License and Certifications, and What Each One Covers

What Each Credential Covers and Why It Matters to You

A license number only protects you if you know what it means. So here is what each of our credentials covers, why it matters for your home and where you can check it.

Florida Certified Air Conditioning Contractor, License CAC1821345 (Class B)

What it is:
Florida issues this license after state exams on the trade and on business practice. Because it is a certified license, it covers work anywhere in Florida, not just one city. Class B covers systems up to 25 tons of cooling, far above any home. The license is active, and you can confirm its current status on the state's license search.
Why it protects you:
Florida requires this license for anyone paid to install air conditioning systems. It also puts every job we do on record with the state board that handles complaints.
Verify it:
Search CAC1821345 on the Florida DBPR license lookup at myfloridalicense.com.

EPA Section 608 Certification

What it is:
Federal law requires this certification to buy or handle refrigerant. We earned it by passing an EPA-approved exam on recovery, leaks and safe disposal.
Why it protects you:
When we remove your old system, its refrigerant is recovered by law, not vented outdoors. Your new system is then charged by someone legally cleared to buy that refrigerant.

BBB Accredited Business, A+ Rating

What it is:
We have held BBB accreditation since April 24, 2025. To earn it, a business agrees to BBB standards on advertising and on responding to complaints.
Why it protects you:
The BBB listed zero complaints against us as of September 2026. That gives you a neutral place to check our record before you call.
